Hotel in Wailea
Nestled on a cliff overlooking Maui's southern coastline on 15 landscaped acres, the Hotel Wailea, Relais & Chateaux - Adults Only features luxurious facilities and spacious suites. This hotel was reserved for a couple celebrating their babymoon. During their stay, they commented on how friendly and professional the staff was. They enjoyed having breakfast on the ocean-view balcony. They did not rent a car in Maui, so the private shuttle service was ideal! They also enjoyed the pool and cabanas. They also enjoyed mocktails at The Birdcage Bar and a three-course dinner at The Restaurant on their last day on the island. Initially, they checked out of Hotel Wailea after three nights to stay in another hotel to explore the west side of the island, but they didn't like it and returned to Hotel Wailea for the rest of their time on the island.

Travellers who stayed in Hawaii near Honolulu Airport (HNL) have said good things about Renaissance Honolulu Hotel & Spa, Prince Waikiki and Waikiki Marina Resort at the Ilikai.
I joined a tour to Diamond Head and climbed the crater to encounter expansive views; did the Moana/ Jurassic rainforest hike in the rain but the forest and fall are worth the hike; I joined aPearl Harbour and Wai Kele outlets bus group, both worth the time and effort. the Royal Hawaiian provided us with a delightful experience over our 9 day stay and the location is amazing. Shopping is to die for in the local area.
Honolulu is a great city with many landmarks and great places to visit. It is easy to navigate around the city and I particularly liked the International Market and the Hilton Villlage. The Highlight of my trip was Pearl Harbour and the history of Hawaii. The Hop on Hop Off bus is a great way to get around and see the sites and is a reasonable price. The trolley bus is also a cheap way to get around. The shopping is amazing with many choices from low end to high end. There's plenty of shops for souvenirs especially the ABC Shops.
Loved the beach, the hula and Hawaiin music on the beach, the zoo was great, the Cheesecake Factory and 50s/60s style Rock Island Cafe were fabulous. Enjoyed our bus tour of Valley of the Temples and Northern Beaches and also the Pearl Harbour Tour.
5th visit to Honolulu and every visit I discover something else I love about this Island. The Hawaiian people are just beautiful the island gets more stunning with every visit and the new places I discover
Weather was nice, not too hot but really soothing. Waikiki Trolley connection a great way to get around and all part if the Outrigger package. Had a great dinner at Roy's and super lunch at Tommy Bahama. Golf at Royal Hawaiin was a pleasure.
Stayed in Waikiki, 7th visit. Love everything...beautiful clean beaches, warm ocean, amazing shopping. So many places to see on this naturally beautiful island.. love the Hawaiian culture & spirit of Aloha.
you can buy some Hawaiian clothes (local product) at Target with much cheaper price than any other shop outside.
Loved the people watching, buskers and the innumerable Japanese brides tripping along the street with a look of newly wedded bliss upon their faces. Loved Tucker and Bevy chain for healthy toasties, chicken & salad combos with dipping sauces/dressings for lunch and dinner. Great coffee at Kai Coffee Hawaii, in Hyyatt Regency Hotel(shopping arcade) La Cucaracha MexicanBar &Grill, 2446 Koa Ave, for Margaritas and try The Big Mama 10"tostada-delicious! Go early to grab an upstairs balcony table. Waikiki beach is beautiful but watch the currents and waves, quite strong. You can get on and off a bus for $5 US per day which will take you uo most of the eastern side of the island-great for trying out different beaches. Turtle Beach is fantastic for viewing green sea turtles close to shore. Hanauma Bay is beautiful and great for snorkelling, lots of fish.
Awesome experiences, food but most of all the people of HAWAII are friendly 😀 TURO RENT A CAR is highly recommended and SHARK CAGE Experience.
Very helpful people. Especially Melanie at Royal Hawaiian Hotel activities desk, & the crew of the Ohana Lava Boat. Highly recommended. Very scenic & lush. Fabulous shoreline & access. Easy close access to airport. No vog like Kailua-Kona side. Wish we had more time here.
Kailua-Kona
We only used the apartment to shower after traveling from Hilo, beach and ocean fun and before going to the airport to catch an 11:30 pm flight. It was clean with nice towels. The kitchen was updated and spotless. Decor was Hawaiian, couch was clean. It’s located within walking distance to downtown fun. Portable air conditioner was loud but worked for the main space. Didn’t see one in the bedroom. Easy to find in the dark. We didn’t sleep there so not sure about the comfort of the bed. Located on the third floor without an elevator.
We enjoy the location close to Ala Moana shopping centre, Ross and Wal-mart. We also enjoyed the breakfast, tasty , good options to choose from and the discount on breakfast. We like the fact that this is a hotel that serves local people, and Hawaiian residents who live other islands in the state. In other words, this hotel does not have a tourist vibe. I like coming to the Pagoda, because I used to live here in Honolulu as a child and I remember my parents would come to the restaurant for special family dinners.
This is an older well kept hotel with a Hawaii vibe. Hotel prices in Kauai are high. We spent almost the same amount for nicer hotels on the other islands. Location is good, staff very nice and helpful. Parking is good. Coffee is GREAT! We stayed 4 days instead of 2 because our plans changed. If you're on a tight budget, this hotel fits the bill. Restaurants within walking distance. My special needs son loved the cat Mango and of course chickens/roosters thru-out Hawaii.
Perfectly situated location on the mountain overlooking the ocean, great view of the surrounding areas! The swimming pool area provides a spectacular experience for all types of activities, and indeed helps create a good family swimming atmosphere!! Also there is a bar restaurant which serves food located inside the swimming pool area, who could ask for more than that? Thank you AC hotel staff for your dedication to making our Hawaiian vacation a great success!!
Pahoa
Location: So close to beach, hilo and vulcano national park Free Parking nearby Super spacious room with comfortable double bed Very friendly owner Least expensive private room on the whole island, maybe even in whole of state hawaii Kitchen fully equipped, Restrooms nice Nice sitting area outside, and hanging around makes fun too, super quiet to sleep. My favorite Hostel from now on, i would call the whole area with private rooms more like HOTEL instead of HOSTEL
Waikiki, Honolulu
The condo/hotel accommodated our request for two double beds. The room is of descent size and clean. It even has a kitchenette with a sink, bowls, dishes and utensils and a coffee maker. Our room was on the 3rd level and has a large patio/lanai that we can look at the Waikiki downtown. The Luana Waikiki Hotel on the same street Kalakaua Ave and within walking distance to Waikiki International Market and Royal Hawaii Center and many luxury boutique stores.
Location was great… lots of stores & food nearby. Waikiki Market 2 blocks away (upstairs) had the best selection. International marketplace is across the street. Only 2 blocks to the beach. Prices are expensive everywhere, but that’s Hawaii these days. Room with kitchenette had everything we needed. The air conditioner worked well. Staff were friendly & willing to help with anything. No pool, but we are there for the beach & ocean.
I had to come there spontausely as my flight got postponed, so i looked for a not too expensive hotel. This exceeded my expactasions, hawaii isnt cheap and this hotel isnt cheap as well, but it was cheaper than every other hotel for last minute booking in high season. The design of the hotel is really nice, you dont even need a beach cause its so pretty in there. Good bar, food is not expensive. Drinks are good. Wifi is really good. Thank you.
Waikiki, Honolulu
I am born and raised in Hawaii and took my daughter back to show her where I came from. I live in Australia. Did the big real local vibe but needed some tourist action. Love the hotel love the room… But Waikiki is something I will do only on the occasion. Room was amazing and views were incredible, but everything else was just a bit chaotic. Hospitality of staff was incredible! on my return, I will always connect to this hotel/resort. 🌺❤️
- Location: great location. We've stayed at another hotel across from Waikiki beach, but that location wasn't as good as Surfer's for us because all the restaurants, cafes and shops are actually closer to Surfer's. - View: nothing beats the view of that pool... - Service: we got a room upgrade and ended up staying in a 2-bedroom suite, super spacious! Make all other rooms we've stayed at in Hawaii seemed small 😂
This hotel is expensive, very expensive, but the room is so clean and the facilities amazing that I really felt it was worth it. If you are someone, like myself, who likes extreme cleanliness, I would say this is for you. Location is central, in the heart of Waikiki, so you can walk easily to the beach, if you are a beach person. All in all, if I'll ever come back to Hawaii, this is def the place I would stay again.
Kailua-Kona
Loved this place. Hosts were very polite and nice, views were fantastic, and exactly what we needed. My wife and I accidentally booked our original hotel a night short than when our flight was so we needed a place to stay for the evening to shower and rest. This place is well worth the cost and with a beautiful living room view of the coat. If we are ever back in Hawaii we will definitely drop in here again.
Pahoa
The vibe you find at Open Gate Hostel is hard to explain and find somewhere else. Staying here was one of the best decisions I have made throughout my two weeks in Hawaii. Staff is truly super (helpful, friendly, welcoming, helpful) and the people you meet there are just amazing. My private room was large, comfortable, and clean. Bathrooms and kitchen were very clean, too. Location is incredible.
I liked that Queen Kapiolani was so close (around 3 minute walk) to the beach and shops and restaurants. I loved the lobby.. it was just so Hawaiian. I also liked where the pool was situated. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. We were given canned drinks and shelled lays. Plus a box of Honolulu Cookie Company cookies since it was my birthday. That was very thoughtful of them.
We spent a week in the apartment, and it truly felt like our home away from home! The place is equipped with everything you could possibly need, including a fully stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, and all the beach essentials. The apartment's decor surrounds you with a charming Hawaiian ambiance. Our experience was perfect, and saying goodbye was tough. Wholehearted recommendation!
Good location, beach in front is not a great beach for swimming as it is often brown, but not far to other beaches. Staff is excellent and hotel is clean. Room is not bad, but could use some TLC. Bed is comfortable and you don't come to Hawaii to sit in a hotel. With that being said I believe the hotel is a little overpriced, but it is Hawaii and everything is overpriced.
Location is right near the beach and across from an ABC mart. Very convenient for those who enjoy walking around shops and restaurants. Takes about 15 mins to get to the main shops of the Royal Hawaiian. It was a small hotel so we didn't have to wait long for elevators. The staff were all nice and helpful and our room was cleaned everyday with towels replaced.
Our 9th vacation in Hawaii and at least our 4th time at the Waikiki Resort Hotel. Excellent! After Covid they did their best to improve the amenities (beach yoga class and hula class for example). Breakfast included with a very good variety of fresh fruit everyday and other options. Perfect and very affordable price.
Waikiki, Honolulu
The Royal Hawaiian Resort is located right at Waikiki Beach and the view from the tower room was beautiful. The gardens are also very nice and the beach right in front of the hotel is clean and also beautiful. After staying there 13 years ago, I wanted to come back and relive the great memories I had of this place…
The location was excellent and the Hotel was great. Hawaiian themed and great holiday atmosphere. The staff was excellent especially our lady Miao who looked after our room she was the best Special thanks to Paul the concierge who looked after our luggage and arranged our transport to the airport.
